Sweet Orange Essential Oil, organic, 5 ml.

Citrus sinesis
$5.25

Sweet orange has a wonderful citrus aroma and blends well with many other oils. For instance, mixing it with cinnamon bark essential oil can extend the efficiency without sacrificing therapeutic value. Since the concentration needed for health benefits is very tiny, using a high quality but less expensive oil to stretch the cinnamon or cloves is practical. On its own, sweet orange is carminative and bactericidal.

Sweet Orange blends well with spices such as Cinnamon Bark, Clove Bud, and Nutmeg as well as with other citrus oils such as Bergamot, Lemon, and Lime.  It is also often mixed with floral and fruit oils like Geranium, May Chang. as well as with other citrus oils and spices like ginger and nutmeg.

Blood orange is native to Sicily and is zesty and slightly more tart.  Its uses are similar, but the aroma is bolder and tangier.  They are not always as deeply pigmented as images depict, but, as the name suggests, they are definitely more red than orange.
