Achillea millefolium is an herb much prized by the 12th century German mystic and herbalist, St. Hildegard of Bingen. She used it as both a wine and tea to prevent metastasis. Many modern German doctors are following her guidance and using it both as a preventative as well as protective measure for patients undergoing surgery and radiation. No research seems available to establish or refute the efficacy of these measures, but extremely high concentrations are being investigated for antineoplastic effects.
