The abbreviated popular name "Saro" comes from the longer word for this exotic tropical oil. The aroma is pleasant, just slightly fruity but also tangy. The oil has a very high, usually around 60%, amount of 1,8 cineole, making it anti-inflammatory, anti-infective, and also anti-fungal. Though a member of the cinnamon family, it is not irritating and can be used in massage oils as well as diffusers.
