This is a new product. Most neem oil is made from the leaves using either oil at room temperature in which the leaves are soaked for weeks or using hot oil in which the case the process is much quicker. Normally, coconut or sesame oil are used, but this particular neem is made from the fruit and seeds. The fruits are quite small and have one seed, more or less like olives. Technically, speaking, this is virgin neem oil, and it is intended to be used as a carrier, not culinary oil. This oil has insecticidal properties and can be used in gardening, but the main reason for carrying it on this site was to encourage creativity among do-it-yourselfers! For instance, try making your own insecticide when hiking or camping!
Keep in mind that the oil has insecticidal properties so it is useful in certain hair and skin conditions, including fungal infections, dandruff, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. It can also be used as a base for mosquito and tick repellents.
The oil should not be used by women who are pregnant, nursing, or planning to conceive a child. This warning refers to topical use. It is not intended for internal use.
